Frequently Asked Questions

Because he receives hundreds of emails each day from across the globe, it is impossible for Cesar to personally respond to individual questions or provide private consultations. We address the most common dog behavior issues in our “Help! My dog is…” section of this Web site, so that’s a good place to begin.

If you have an emergency situation, please refer to the “Find a Professional” tool of the International Association of Canine Professionals to locate a qualified dog trainer near you.

We appreciate your concern and your passion for aiding dogs in very difficult situations. Cesar and his entire team wish that they could personally help every one of these dogs. However, we receive hundreds of such requests and, sadly, it simply isn’t possible to help. Please know that we are working diligently through the non-profit Cesar Millan PACK Project to support the work of shelters and rescues that are doing everything possible to fight pet overpopulation. It is our hope that one day no dog will ever find itself in such a terrible situation.

The Dog Psychology Center is unable to take or board any dogs. We receive dozens of such requests and space is limited.

If you are unable to keep your dog, we encourage you to speak with the shelters and rescues in your area. They are the ones who are most able to help you in this difficult decision. Please be aware that because the U.S. has an overpopulation problem in our shelters, many organizations will not accept relinquished pets or may have a long waiting list. Unfortunately, there is no simple solution when it comes to finding a new home for your pet. If you would like to contact animal welfare organizations in your area, please visit Petfinder or Pets911. We wish you the very best success.

We encourage you to use the “Find a Professional” tool of the International Association of Canine Professionals to find a qualified trainer near you (U.S. only). We suggest that you talk with at least three trainers, thoroughly describing your dog and your goals, before deciding upon one.

We are not currently accepting applications for Cesar’s TV programs. When casting opportunities arise, we will announce them on Cesar’s Facebook page..
